What Is SoundQuest Station?
A Place to Create, Lead, and Grow
SoundQuest Station is a place where you show up each week, work with the same group, and build cool things together over time. It's not like school — there are no grades, no tests, and no boring lectures. Instead, you get to dive into hands-on creative projects that actually matter.
You'll explore music production, run podcasts, experiment with media and technology, and discover gaming and digital tools. Along the way, you'll learn how to work with others, lead projects, solve problems together, and support your peers. Every session builds on the last, so you see real progress and finish projects you can actually be proud of.
You don't need experience. You don't need to be "good" at anything yet. You just need interest and the willingness to show up, try new things, and work as part of a team. If you're curious and ready to create, you're ready for SoundQuest Station.
PeerCast
You Run the Podcast
At SoundQuest Station, you don't just listen to podcasts — you run PeerCast, a podcast and media channel made by kids, for kids. This is your platform to share stories, ask important questions, and create content that supports and encourages other young people in your community and beyond.
Host Episodes
You ask the questions, guide the conversation, and lead the show from start to finish.
Work as a Team
Collaborate with other kids on every part of the media process — from planning to publishing.
Interview Guests
Bring in interesting people and lead conversations that inspire and inform your audience.

Running PeerCast means taking responsibility, making creative decisions, and learning what it takes to produce quality content. You'll develop real-world skills in communication, teamwork, and leadership — all while creating something meaningful.
What You'll Get to Do

Run a Real Podcast
Host PeerCast episodes, conduct interviews, and create media content that reaches a real audience. You're in charge of the questions, the conversations, and the message.
Create Music
Learn how music is made from the ground up. Experiment with beats, melodies, recording techniques, and production tools to bring your ideas to life.
Explore Gaming & Tech
Dive into gaming culture, explore creative technology, and discover how digital tools can be used to tell stories and solve problems.
Work as a Team
Every project involves collaboration. You'll learn how to communicate clearly, support your teammates, and bring different ideas together.

The Journey
How It Works
When you join SoundQuest Station, you're committing to a full session that runs for several weeks. This isn't a drop-in program — you stay with the same group, work on projects together, and see things through from start to finish. That continuity is what makes everything work.
Staying with your group over time helps you get comfortable, build real friendships, and learn how to follow through on commitments. You'll also have opportunities to take on leadership roles, mentor newer members, and watch your skills grow week by week.

Who Can Join?
SoundQuest Station is open to kids and young people ages 8 and up. You don't need any prior experience with podcasting, music production, or media creation. All you need is curiosity, a willingness to try new things, and the commitment to show up for your group.
We welcome kids from all backgrounds, interests, and skill levels. Whether you're naturally outgoing or more reserved, whether you love music or have never created anything before, there's a place for you here.
